Dikutip dari Situs Dailydot, Selasa (29/1/2013) melansir, salah sseorang pengguna dengan nama "Ass1892' sampai sejauh ini telah men-share lima video klip berdurasi enam detik berisi orang-orang yang berhubungan seks di bawah hashtag #ass.
Situs Mashable juga mendapati video porno saat sedang melihat VinePeek, website agregat user-generated video Vine secara real time. Video wanita dengan tubuh telanjang tiba-tiba saja muncul di antara gambar salju dan bayi yang ada di klip.
Video-video tidak senonoh itu dapat ditemukan di fitur pencarian Vine dengan hashtag tertentu yang berhubungan dengan pornografi seperti #porn, #sex dan #penis.
Jika diamati, layanan Vine milik Twitter ini memang tidak memuat larangan konten berbau seksual atau jenis konten lainnya. Dalam "Terms of Service" tertulis bahwa seluruh konten yang diposting menjadi tanggung jawab user yang meng-upload.
"You are responsible for your use of the Services, for any Content you post to the Services, and for any consequences thereof. The Content you submit, post, or display will be able to be viewed by other users of the Services and through third party services and websites. You should only provide Content that you are comfortable sharing with others under these Terms."
Bahkan di bagian "Content on the Services" tertulis:
"All Content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person who originated such Content. We may, but are not required to monitor or control the Content posted via the Services and we cannot take responsibility for such Content. Any use or reliance on any Content or materials posted via the Services or obtained by you through the Services is at your own risk. [. . .] You understand that by using the Services, you may be exposed to Content that might be offensive, harmful, inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate, or in some cases, postings that have been mislabeled or are otherwise deceptive".
Namun, Vine menyediakan sebuah tombol di bagian bawah setiap video yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk melaporkan postingan yang tidak pantas. Belum ada tanggapan resmi dari pihak Twitter terkait konten pornografi tersebut.
Vine sendiri merupakan layanan video sharing yang memungkinkan pengguna Twitter merekam video pendek berdurasi 6 detik lalu meng-uploadnya ke Twitter. Vine juga dapat merekam suara. Pengguna juga dapat menambahkan informasi keterangan dan lokasi pembuatan video, dan dapat menyimpan hasil rekaman video tersebut pada perangkat mobile.
